3.5 stars. A really interesting historical fiction book (the author notes that the individual characters are not historically accurate, although the organization is). There was a lot going on in the characters' lives that I found it distracting at times. But I'm interested in knowing the real story now.

This book is a-ma-zing! It's all about women helping women and the dynamics in the 70’s as a women. This book is the closest book I have found to a Glennon Doyle book! Though it's not non-fiction it carries such realism it's very impressive. The authors note at the end is also so amazing!!! New favorite author? I think so!!! 😊

I wanted to love this book but I almost put it down and didn't come back to it several times. The first 2/3 of the book was so slow. I was halfway through and realized it still felt like the plot and characters were being set up.
The factual tidbits about what life was like pre roe v wade was fascinating and sad, especially with what is happening in our world right now.
The last 1/3 of the book was good and I'm glad I stuck it out but it was definitely a process to get there.
