“inside, you wander ahead of her, far ahead so you don’t have to feel her presence weighing on you like a pillow on the face.”

heartbreakingly autobiographical - every reflection comes from a real place of real hurt, which makes it good, and also makes it hard. great writing! very important writing, even. its a hard read in terms of digesting what is happening, but its an easy one since it’s formatted in this unique manner. basically? its simple and complicated, simultaneously.

This book absolutely destroyed me. I loved it greatly.

The writing style is absolutely beautiful, and while I enjoyed listening to this as an audiobook, I now feel I have to go and buy a physical copy so that I can analyse it with more depth. I cannot recommend this book enough.
