Not my favorite of the Paddington books, but, as always, it highly entertained my 8-year-old grandson.

Thanks to Paddington’s visit to the marmalade factory, we finally bought a jar for our pantry and have been enjoying marmalade on toast for the last couple weeks.

Ah good old Paddington, after the annoyances that finishing off CS Lewis' The Last Battle left me in it was good old Paddington that rescued my mood, can always rely on him to bring some joy back into the world with his shenanigans. In this series we get a bit of plumbing during a cold snap, Paddington gets invited to the opening ceremony of a new building in a marmalade factory (obviously things don't go to plan there), he partakes in a bit of light chimney sweeping, himself and Mr Gruber partake in an afternoon mystery tour, he gets to play in his first cricket match), a day by the seaside with a bit of detectiving involved, and finally a party thrown for Paddington to celebrate a very special occasion.

And so marks the end of book number 6 in my box set of 12, one of the best purchases i have made yet, i missed all these delights when i was younger, perhaps i am enjoying them more as an adults never having read them before.
