Another wonderful read. I was already a fan of Sid from the first book, this story lets the reader see her more feminine side and it's great! Even though in the first book Terri Osburn did her best to make sure the reader didn't think of Lucas as a "bad guy", I still wasn't sure if I'd like him. That power-driven kind of person is not one I can usually tolerate. Ms. Osburn did a great job getting me over my fears, Lucas ended up being a dream.

When Lucas first starts to notice Sid as a woman I will admit to being a little put off by the circumstances. I wanted to like him but knew I wouldn't be able to do that if he only fell for Sid's looks. Almost right away the author let the reader know that Lucas was intrigued by the challenge Sid presented to him. So he didn't take notice until he saw what was under her baggy clothes, that's okay. Some guys need to be hit over the head to see things. As long as in the long run the right reasons were present.

Really my only complaint has to do with something an editor should have caught. My sister used to get annoyed with the way I corrected her grammar when we were teenagers. I've learned to curb that urge as I got older and realized A) it's rude and B) there are many grammar rules I don't follow either. That being said, bad grammar still makes my skin crawl...especially when it's incorrect word usage. There are two times in this book that the phrase "grant it" was used where "granted" should have been used. I was somewhat disappointed that Ms. Osburn did this but quickly came to the conclusion that it's not really her fault. It's her editors responsibility to catch these things. And there is always the possibility that she didn't use that phrase and it was type-set incorrectly. Either way, it just irked me a bit.

All in all, another wonderful book that has be eager to read Will's story next.

Another fun book in the series from Terri Osburn. Her characters keep you coming back to find out what happens to them next.

I chose this book only because it had the word "challenge" in the title to fulfill a book prompt in the Popsugar reading challenge. Well, surprise, surprise, I found a great book!! It was funny, romantic, sexy and sometimes sad. And there's even a cat!

4.5 stars!

Needs an epilogue but still worth the read.

Now I'm off to listen to the audio version and then write my review...

This book had me torn. I liked the story. Girl had crush on guy since high school but he never noticed until now when he comes home to help the family out during a crisis. What I didn't like was everyone seem to blame the guy for everything. No one else took responsibility for any of their wrong doings. From Lucas being a bit bitter that his fiance left him for his brother. To his ever having left the island for a life elsewhere to his relationship with Sid.

Lucas came home to help run the family restaurant after his dad has a heart attack and needs time to recover. His fiance left him for his brother and 6 weeks later when he lets the occasional smart remark out due to his hurt and bruised ego everyone thinks he should just get over it. He was the one who encouraged his brother to go for her after she left him wanting the two to be happy.

Lucas then offers to stay and help run the restaurant along with his brother. Sid also agrees to help Lucas out during the days. Normally she helps his brother with his charter boats or is repairing boats. She is a small foul-mouthed firecracker he barely remembers from high school. Lucas is intrigued by her and everyone keeps telling him she isn't as tough as she seems. The are both attracted to each other but she prefers to fling insults. They ended up in a kiss that knocks them both over but Lucas tells her he isn't staying and she isn't the casual fling kind of girl so it is not going to happen. She refuses that and sets her sites on a fling with Lucas. During a hurricane she gets her wish. They embark on a summer fling. Only problem is they both fall for each other but refuse to let on.

Time comes to an end abruptly when Lucas is called back to work. He tries to tell Sid how he feels but she retreats back to insults so he does too. Again everyone blames only him. Will they find their way back to each other?

I gave this 3 stars due to the first half of the book spent on Lucas and Sid doing not much more than bickering. It was very frustrating to getting to the actual story. Also, the fact that Lucas could do nothing right. No matter what he did everyone blaming him and telling him he was doing wrong.
