Ember’s transformation was def well deserved! I’m glad she was able to close that chapter. Of course it always helps when you have four amazing men looking to help. 😉

This was fun (ish) but I’m glad it’s over lol.

You know it’s never a hit when you’re dreading having to read it at night before you can move on to a new book

“Tell me your nightmares…”
Four dark and broody men, one beautiful resilient woman, all with a dark side, all have yearned for a place to belong. Diamond, Heart, Spade and Club have found it at Cirque Obscurum. Will Ember as well?

This was an immediate transportation for me. As soon as I began reading I lost myself to the Cirque. You think you know who these characters are and they end up being completely different. I am sure most people will go for Heart or Diamond but Spade was it for me! Watching Ember go from the weak, meek and mild housewife to the dominating, strong, confident Queen was such a journey but one well worth following. I really hope we get to see another adventure from these characters.

The pacing felt off, the jump from strangers to lovers and from abused housewife to killer happened way too fast for me. I’m sure that intensity works for some readers, but it didn’t really click for me. I did enjoy other parts of the book, though. Overall, not a bad read, just not one I’d rave about.

"Need a hand, Roger?"

This quote is the highlight of my reading year so far. All I can say is..... read this book. All will become clear. And never a more satisfying 4 words have ever been written.

If you love a dark and dangerous circus romance then Cirque Obscurum is a must read. It is all kink, temptation, magic, empowerment and intrigue. I loved every single page. Ember and her circus men are a deliciously heated and gory combo. These 5 are unstoppable forces of retribution and safety for those who call for them. They have the dark power of the cirque within them and there is no line they will not cross to protect the cirque and its family.
