I swear rina kent puts all the drugs in her books? Each and every one has me gripped by the throat. She knows how to write a book about Morally questionable men who become unconventionally obsessed with a bright and fiery fmc. I eat this up every time without shame.
The way this morally grey/black, murderous, caveman of a mafia man gets all flustered over a sparkling heart emoji has me dying. Cecily can psychoanalyse this man till the end of time honestly. Jeremy keeps his emotions and feeling under LOCK AND KEY. However, cecily catches his eye and he decides to watch her from a far. And if he's not watching her. Ilya is AHAH. He notices her dissociation and sees his mum. That triggers his instincts to help bring her out of her own head. He soothes her and fights her demons, while she rationalises his. I love them. He's still a stupid caveman though.

Ilya and the end IM LAUGHING. He's so silent and a stalker accomplice but he does make me chuckle. And don't get me started on Cecilys dad when he meets jeremy. I was laughing too much in the back of an uber over their little confab. And the parents group chat? also hilarious. I love this series too much.
