I'm still not sure about this new serial romance thing... Why break one book into 3 parts?! Anyhow I liked the base for the book and it was well written. I did feel as though she was a bit out of touch with what a 11 year old likes/does. Unless the flashbacks go further back then just the seven years.... Looking forward to reading Vol 2.

Sometimes I read something and get the feeling the author had an idea and without any research just threw a bunch of stuff together. There is nothing really plausible about this story, the "internship", the relationship etc. The whole way through I shook my head in disbelief hoping that the steamy scenes might at least make the rest worth it. Meh!!!

Okay, the intern-boss thing where the heroine is not submissive at all and actual pretty confident and sassy might be a nice idea, but: No real descriptions of what really happens. The heroine is just acting pissed of with everyone, the same as the hero. The side characters are flat, the heroine seems to be the only one with a little bit of depth. The story goes way too fast and it seemed to me, that sex sells was the only writing motivation of the author. Also I get pretty angry when authors spread the message, that poking without protection for a few seconds won't get anyone pregnant. I hated it already with 50SoG. Some people might actually believe this because it happened in a book. Or the next big plot twist will be an unexpected pregnancy, who knows. When the writing is flat there is always enough petty drama to keep the story alive and the characters together. There were also so many things which where plain illogical to me.

I didn't look at the other reviews, so it might be only me with this kind of opinion. I couldn't relate at all and there were no rays of sunshine who helped me overlook the bad parts.

An enjoyable read. Some aspects of their quick developing relationship were slightly unrealistic but I couldn't help going along for the ride. When is Bentley going to cotton on to the secrets Ceci is carrying? Cliff hanger alert!

The Intern begins when Ceci decides to get an internship at a company she thinks will help her figure out more about who killed her dad all those years ago. The problem is she is still in high school, and only eighteen. But that isn't going to stop her she is bound and determined to get what she needs.

Bentley is the up and coming CEO of the company Ceci wants to be apart of. He's also twenty-six and doesn't want anything to do the company yet. He still wants to live his life they way he has been. But all of that changes when he meets Ceci. The both know the attraction between them shouldn't lead to anything else because it is wrong for several different reasons. But neither one can seem to stay apart...

This is a short story series that leaves us with cliffhanger endings and having us waiting anxiously for the next book! I must say I had a hard time deciding exactly what I thought about this book. The age difference doesn't bother, it is the fact that Ceci is still in high school that makes me feel like something horrible could happen to her once someone finds out she's lying about so much! Other than that I loved Ceci. She was very confident and wasn't afraid to do what she believes in, I really admired her in this story. And I thought Bentley was okay. He seemed kind of immature for his age, but he worked it really well. I really liked this book, and I look forward to the next one!

This just wasn't the book for me =p It was okay enough for me to finish the book but I was more interested in Ceci trying to find out the truth but the sex overshadowed that storyline. I guess maybe that's the purpose since it is an erotica romance but the sex just didn't really intrigue me. I didn't really find Bentley all that charming, he was good-looking but I just felt like that was all I got out of him. Ceci, I liked her but I guess I didn't like her enough to list something that made me like her -_- so yeah this book was not for me.

I'll finish this series because I find the plot very interesting, but I have to say that this protagonist is the least likeable protagonist ever. I do not like her. Not in the way she has been presented in this first volume. Maybe she gets better, but right now I can only se an egomaniac, sociopathic, manipulative adolescent. Girl, you are 18, can you explain to me at what age you mastered the seductive smile. Or how the fuck everyone sems to be in love with you, to the poin that your firends "fight" for your attention?

Yes, you are scarred for the death of your dad, but srsly. I think you needed therapy more than you think you did.
