I think my expectations of this classic were a bit too high. I was actually a bit bored of it, even though it was such a short book, but I can kind of see why it has gotten so popular over time. It teaches the reader important things in life and its messages were beautiful, but the book in itself didn't really move me that much (probably because its target audience are children and young adults). At least I finally got to read it now and see what this is about.

Natürlich kennt man Der kleine Prinz, aber ihn als Erwachsene noch einmal zu lesen hat für mich eine neue Tiefe eröffnet. Viele Stellen wirken mit einer reiferen Perspektive deutlich nachdenklicher. Trotzdem würde ich nicht zu viel hineininterpretieren, denn das Buch lebt gerade von seiner Einfachheit. Ein Epilog hätte mir zwar gefallen, aber wahrscheinlich ist es genau der Sinn der Sache, dass wir keinen bekommen. In meiner Vorstellung geht es dem Prinzen, der Rose und dem Schaf gut und sie leben glücklich zusammen.

after finishing this book i couldnt wrap my head around the ending. So i read the ending over and over again and finally cried. I can see 30 year old me crying again with this book on my left and crumpled tissues on my right.
Este libro me lo leí en una lectura de clase y la verdad es que la historia me pareció genial. La forma con la que en cada capítulo nos van enseñando algo me encantó.
No le pongo más puntuación porque no es de mis libros favoritos, me gustó y a lo mejor lo volvería a leer y más adelante puede que cambie mi opinión, pero sigo manteniendo que es un libro maravilloso.
