A weird book, especially because I watched the movie first that is equally as weird but in a very different way. But it was good! I saw some felt the book was bogged down by lore but I enjoyed the lore!

I loved the movie so much so I decided to read the book and enjoyed it just as much, it definitely helped imagining Robert Pattinson the whole time.

i really liked this book, it wasn’t perfect but it was a fun read and i’m really excited for the movie. my one complaint is that mickey kept calling ppl friendo.

Mickey 7 is an enjoyable book, but no more than that. Frankly, my interest in reading it was due to the upcoming movie and only because the director is one of my favorite filmmakers, not because the story looked particularly engaging.

Its problem? How limited its plot is. The book hints at an interesting narrative backstory, but this is merely anecdotal to provide a few explanations for other scenes in the main storyline, which moves forward without making it clear where it's going. And when it finally shows its cards, it is beyond disappointing to read how the author resolves it.

It's a quick read, but that doesn't stop it from being extremely disappointing.

This was pretty good. I don't often like when the main character breaks the fourth wall. Entertaining overall, except the end is pretty abrupt and obviously a book 1 of a series.
