Yes, I adore this series. For real, this book was so good. I love the guys on the ranch and cannot wait to read more of their stories.

I love the style of this author's writing, the characters  are always likeable and hold interest and the chemistry is nice and obvious. Ivan and Rory are absolute fire and the first intimate scene together was off the charts. This is initially a sunshine versus grumpy story but not for long. Ivan isn't actually grumpy, just guarded. Rory and Ivan both have pasts that always threaten to outshine them. I loved watching the story unfold and how their fierce attraction quickly became so much more. It is full of swoony romance and true adoration for one another. Such an easy book to get lost in. I am so excited to read Cash's book next. This author is absolutely an automatic read for me. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"Kindness shouldn't be a rare occurrence."

I thought that was an apt quote from the book to start my review with. It truly encompasses the way the found family on Redemption Ridge operates. I adore each and every one of the men who call the ranch their home. Ivan really put it in prospective when he explained the feeling of arriving on the ranch after incarceration and having his pick of clothes offered by Cash. Something we take for granted sometimes, the simple ability to OWN our own clothes, was monumental to him. It broke my heart. I can understand why Ivan was leery about new people disrupting the vibe of their sanctuary, it just turned out it wasn't needed when it came to Rory.

Right from the start these two men only had eyes for each other. Ivan fought it so hard. Rory, the cheeky little man he was, was undeterred by the grumpy giant. When these two finally gave into their lust it was explosive. It was also absolutely sweet as heck. I didn't realize what a softie Ivan was hiding under that gruff exterior. It's always the quiet ones who surprise you. And Rory. I wondered if he was going to be the spoiled brat type but I was way off base. He worked hard on the ranch and never asked for special treatment. He genuinely earned the trust of the men who worked beside him with his efforts. It's no wonder Ivan couldn't stop the inevitable, falling for the likeable man. Thankfully, Rory was in just as deep as Ivan.

"I'm going to keep you."

"Not if I keep you first."

Now I am absolutely thrilled that Cash's story is next! I thought we'd have to wait a bit more for his book and that Walker would save him for last. I'm now hoping that isn't the case because I really want a book for sweet Rue. And also of course Owen and Tyler, who it appears are following the route that Harry and Dylan took aka the oblivious one. I am so here for it!

Aimee Nicole Walker is beyond capable when creating multidimensional main characters that tug your heart strings. Circumstances have media influencer Rory needing a safe place to escape the media. Upon his arrival at Redemption Ridge he locks eyes with foreman Ivan and the sparks of interest start and Rory’s inner brat makes an appearance soon after.

Ivan is such a gentle, protective man who initially struggles against Rory’s forward behaviour but soon enough the sizzling chemistry between them ignites. There’s plenty of heat but also plenty of sweet and tender as they share secrets and vulnerabilities whilst cocooned in each other’s arms. The walls between them come down slowly but surely as feelings deepen and they truly begin to see and understand who the other is and what they mean to each other.

This is a very engaging and enjoyable read with plenty of feels as Rory and Ivan, two very different men, find their way to being absolutely perfect for each other. The storyline of the town’s religious sect continues with more of their outrageous public behaviour causing a bit of angst for Rory. The found family at Redemption Ridge naturally come together as a single unit to protect the ranch and those that live there. I loved this book and can’t wait for Cam and Nick to have their story told!

Walker has another winning series here. I enjoyed the first book in this series and this book keeps up the high level of enjoyment. I like the premise and the emotion of the storylines and the ever present humor is a big bonus. It’s a plus for me that the angst here comes from outside forces rather than within the main the romantic relationship. As in the first book, the connection between the MCs is instantaneous and that remains solid throughout the book. What starts as a supposedly no strings fling (yeah, like we believe that!) develops into deep emotional connections that help both men overcome past traumas and hurts and lets them discover their true and better selves.

This was a quick read because I didn’t want to put it down. I was invested in Ivan and Rory from the start and couldn’t wait for them to get their HEA. The ending was great and I am really, really looking forward to Cash and Nick’s story next.

**I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion.**

Ivan Gallagher is the ranch foreman at Redemption Ranch.  He gets stuck with Rory Snyder as an employee because his boss owes a favor to a friend.  Rory is an influencer who needs to be off the grid because his father is running for Governor of Colorado and there is some ugly media going on.  Rory and Ivan are immediate attracted and Rory behaves very badly.  Ivan also makes judgements about Rory before getting to know him.  As their relationship grows they develop emotionally together.  We also get more information about other characters which was appreciated.  Things blown up but are resolved in a way that I really appreciated.  I would recommend this book but believe it is best enjoyed if you have read the first book of the trilogy.  I an anxiously awaiting the final book.
