very fitting ending!

Oh my god! I loved this series. Not gonna lie there was a lot of heartbreak throughout this series but definitely worth all the ugly tears for that ending! It was 100% therapeutic for my soul.

Hades is a 23 year old Mafia Queen entrepreneur who earned her role by taking down her corrupt father and his associates, but has turned the gang he left behind into a thriving empire. She rose above her past traumas to save her barely teenaged sister from fates worse than death and after 5 years, her ice persona is finally cracking enough to let in Cass, the rival gang leader who is her subordinate, Lucas, the innocent 19 year old who doesn't realize his nefarious family ties into gang life, and Zed, her best friend and second in command who has been pining for her forever but is also featured in her trauma because he was her psychotic ex fiance's best friend. When enemies thought to be dead resurface and infiltrate her organization, no one and nothing is safe.

Because this is RH and each guy has his own unique background/experience/skills, there were tons of twists and turns and crumbs to follow and traumas (both past and present all twisted up tightly together) to overcome. There were even some really jarring betrayals that took a bit of explanation and context to justify....

I loved the guys nicknames and how brotherly the guys were towards each other once they settled into polyamory. Cass, big buff tattooed badass being Grumpy Cat was just so hilariously accurate! Lucas, innocent little Gumdrop that he was got called that as an insult at first, but it sweetly stuck. Then Zed, chef, car collector, and sniper got Zeddy Bear. 🤣 ugh they just all made me swoon for her and Hades was so deserving of the safe space these men provided after all she sacrificed and went through. This series was insane! Tate James knows how to keep you hooked and I highly recommend this series!
