Another book that would benefit from closer proof reading, but that doesn't detract from the story. A mysterious girl brought up by a ragtag bunch on mercenaries turns out to be more than she seems. A civil war between two factions is tearing the land apart, with the mysterious Priory behind the scenes. Throw in alchemy and steam and you have a Good Read.
