I think this book is in my top 5. Definitely long and needed persistence to get through, but everything ties in perfectly at the end. Awesome.
This definitely has many of the trappings of a "classic". The plot is masterful. I love how the settings are so fleshed out. The beginning and the end of this book are both just so spectacular. I felt like I was skimming a lot through the middle. Some of the idioms are just too out of date.
