dark emotional hopeful mysterious tense fast-paced

This book is great and gives you a wide variety of characters. Mainly falling a mental insane person is a wise and great source of growth.

Captivating non-fiction concerning a wrongful murder conviction in Ada, OK. A fast, compelling read that eddies a bit long in places, but gets the story served.

For whatever reason I just did not enjoy this. I was determined to finish it because I hate not finishing a book I've started, but it was a plod to get through.
informative medium-paced

This was a very interesting read. Since it was based on a true story and John Grisham pieced together facts, it was a little bit of a different style than his normal one. I really enjoyed it even thought it was about a very sad story - especially sad when you consider someone actually lived that life.

This is one of the most, if not the most, gripping books I have read in my life. I've never felt physically repulsed by a book before this. The fact that this is a true story is horrifying. I don't usually subscribe to the "everyone should read this book" philosophy but in this case I'll make an exception.
dark informative slow-paced

Horrifying. Will shake your opinion of the justice system-- even if you're already skeptical.

My first Grisham book and couldn't put down.

Key takeaways:

- A great--or terrible, I suppose--example of blindness caused by hubris. Be very careful being 100% confident of anything--it makes it hard to change your mind in light of new evidence.
