Having loved the first book, this one is a major disappointment. The majority of the time I spent reading, I wanted it to be over. 

Murder mystery on a ship with magic but somehow boring? The pacing was really strange and drawn out and this book really didn't have to be this long. I will begrudgingly finish this series bc i loved the first book a lot.

A bit too many similarities in character personality and the romance will they won’t they to book one. But still incredibly well written. Love the twists and turns and cast of characters. Aysha Kala is a fantastic narrator as well.
