Glassdamn! Let me start by saying that this is the first book I've won in a Goodreads giveaway (thank you Goodreads and Brian McClellan!). That being said this book was fantastic! It starts out so well and takes it's time to establish the world in a way that didn't feel rushed (I LOVE when an author takes their time with their worlds and works).
Started out with what I'd thought was a simple bit of inter-guild intrigue and I very soon suspected everyone of everything. It didn't take very long after that to become something totally very different. With all the threads and interplay between the various factions and characters I sometimes felt like reaching for a good piece of high resonance witglass to keep up.
Thank you again Brian! I'm working through Powder Mage and eagerly await your next book in this fantastic new series!
