Not only was this very fast paced, and intriguing; it fully immersed me into this world where talents, and wishes are more than a show and a genie in a bottle, baby.

Myrthe had the power to grant wishes through her tears, but unfortunately she is cursed and her final tear will be the end of her life as well. You go into the book already knowing this, but watching just how that unfolds had me tearing through the pages faster than Sven eating a carrot.

"A Wishtress was born every hundred years or so. Always female. A heroine of kingdom. That's all I'd ever heard of the Wishtress - all anyone could tell me"

You can't put Wishtress down. The plot weaving, characterization, and themes are awesome. Fun and quick to read. It made me *wish* (ha!) that this book could've been longer. Super glad to find a book that respectfully asks such deep questions.

Myrthe is born with a talent, causing her to become the Wishtress. When one day, one of her wishes goes wrong. As a result, a woman places a curse on her. If she ever sheds another tear, this one tear will kill her. She will need to take a journey to the Well to break the curse and save her life. This book offers a variety of characters. The plot was well-crafted and filled with twists I didn't anticipate. The romance is very slow-burn, very wholesome, I'll say, though, that this book has a few issues with pacing.
