This was probably my favorite of all the Nikki Heat books. This takes place during Hurricane Sandy. The twists and turns in this book kept me captivated. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Raging Heat stayed up at the level of the last two Castle books. Exciting--true to the characters. These really are fun to read if you are a fan of the show. It also added an interesting dimension that most of the book takes place as Hurricane Sandy was approaching. Knowing what Sandy did to NYC we could anticipate what they would be facing.

Can a book so poorly written as to piss me off really be considered fluff?

Question for the ages.

I read these for literally no reason other than because I know there will (OR BETTER BE) at least one Firefly reference in each. They're a fun show tie in, but they'd be way funner if they were written by someone even remotely competent.

As usual, the entire book was boring as fuck until we got to the actual meat of the story. Hard to follow because of poorly written exposition, but a passable three stars based solely on the action.

These are so meta they go past cheesey and back into the realm of solid pop fiction.

I love that this book mirrors the show Castle so well. I feel as though I am part of the show as I am reading the story.

Good as always, but since the 6th season is where we stopped watching regularly I wonder how much it paralleled the series. As for the story itself, The driving force isn't the crime, but Rook and Heat's evolving relationship. Still when a high public official seems to be good for a crime can conflict between the two survive as Rook suggests that Heat is wrong. This conflict is a strong driving force as for once these two aren't directly on the same side.

Like all the Castle books, the writing isn't the best. But the plot is usually good. I basically only read them because of the show. It's interesting how elements from the show play in the book.

Another very enjoyable read by "Richard Castle". I have to give major props to the writers; I just thoroughly enjoy the book series just as I enjoy the TV series. Ignore the sometimes unrealistic workings of a police detective and I think you will like it as well.

These books have always felt like a guilty pleasure for no other reason than the fact that they're so damn corny, but it works. I laugh, I cry, and just like with the show they're based on, I'm along for the ride.
