This book didn’t flow very well for me. The narration and structure kept jumping randomly and not in a good way. I also figured out the “twist” less than 1/2 way through, and when it was brought to light it was don’t in a very choppy way. Overall not impressed, would not re-read or recommend

Book club book!
This was such a weird read for me. It’s not my preferred genre, but the drama and suspense kept the book moving at a pace that kept my interest. It was complicated. So many complicated characters, relationships, events, and timelines. The bond that was supposed to exist between the two central characters was so tenuous that it was hard to accept it was even there. Most of the female characters were portrayed as conniving shrews. Loved the ending, though, and the writing was solid. A strong three-star review, but would only recommend for people who love high-drama, star-crossed lovers kinda shit.
