A nice summary of workplace habits that can be refined and practiced. My sister recommended this book to me because she knows I struggle with several of the nice girl habits. I appreciate the tone of this book which is direct, firm, and no-nonsense. There are some suggestions that may seem to be less than progressive (no tattoos? wear makeup?) but these are explained under the notion that there are, actually, different rules for workplace success for men and women, even if it's not fair. Much of the other advice (there are, after all, over a hundred suggestions here) is more easily accepted - be direct, speak up, say what you mean, etc. Interesting read.

A very interesting on women in the workplace, as someone starting their career I have learned a great deal of how to navigate.
Typical cookie-cutter career advice book that glazes over the unique challenges women of color experience.
Also, the author referred to slaves as indentured servants (when referencing the movie Lincoln).

This was a very great book for women in business or women pursuing a degree in business, like myself. I feel these tips were great for how not just women but all people can make themselves appear confident and competent in their career. Although there were some points that felt like the man-fearing type of feminism, I think most of this book is very valuable and would recommend it to my peers.
