Enkele tips zijn goed, deze worden daarna door een negatieve toon weer afgebroken. Misschien is haar aanpak in Amerika geaccepteerd, maar denk dat dit daarbuiten negatief overkomt.

DNF. Understandably, this book is geared towards women in a corporate environment and that’s not me. I also found a lot of the tips to be outdated.
informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

While there are some solid tips in here that can apply to women in the workforce, I found this book to be extremely outdated, particularly in the later sections. Even though this is a rewrite, much of the book doesn't really apply to today's workforce as we've grown as a society to begin the process of respecting women and treating them as equal.

Ugh. Outdated, stereotypically self-help that's not actually helpful. Couldn't make it past 3 chapters.

I LOVED this book. Totally unexpectedly. Based on the title, I thought it was going to be completely cheesy. But it kept popping up on lists for young professional women to read so I gave it a chance. I was totally blown away by how true her observations were. It is very quick read and you are encouraged to jump around to the sections that apply to you. The book is full of suggestions and tips to implement. I encourage any woman at any age to read it - often we do not realize how the subconscious messages of childhood affect us as adults.

The author has some pretty strong opinions about things that really shouldn't matter all that much if you ask me.
But I don't work in corporate America, so...

Frankel lost me for good when she said when a woman finds feces in her hard hat (which she said did happen to someone) the response should be “I’ll let it go this one time”.

Some solid info but a lot of outdated info too
