It was bound to happen to this series eventually, but this is a book in which nothing really happens. It's basically middle-o-series-itis. Blah blah overhyped duel built over several books finally happens but it's unnecessary and anticlimactic. Blah blah lots of transition stuff. Some preponderance of backstory and then a marginal cliff hanger. I'm very disappointed.
Still, the writing style is enjoyable so I will probably try at least one more.
