Ajattelin aluksi, etten kestä tätä. Etten kestä sentimentaalisia isä-poika-suhdekiemuroita, joista suuri osa juonesta koostui enkä varsinkaan pateettisia dialogeja. Etten kestä sitä, että tiedän mysteerin ratkaisun jo 200 sivua ennen päähenkilöä. Mutta kestin. Luin. Herkistyin. Tämä on yksi kauheimmista dystopioista, joita olen koskaan lukenut. Koska mehiläisten joukkotuho on niin järkyttävän lähellä.

Yksi kysymys tästä kyllä jäi. Entä Afrikka?! Mitä ihmettä sille tapahtuu kirjailijan visioissa? Amerikka, Eurooppa, Kiina ja Australia käytiin läpi ilmiömäisen tarkasti, Afrikka unohdettiin taas vaihteeksi.

3.5 ☆. Die Geschichten sind schön geschrieben und haben interessante, ausgearbeitete Protagonisten. Leider ist die Geschichte insgesamt etwas träge.

Very good and very interesting. Having several different stories in different times all be woven together. There are some elements that it seems to think you won’t guess, and yet are so immediately apparent that it becomes annoying reading about characters not knowing.

The are multiple stories of characters and their relationship with bees.
The bees are the centre of each story but the stories are more about the people.
I found some stories more interesting than others and I liked some characters more than others.
I think it's a light read and a nice reveal at the end but could see that coming from miles away.
