it’s one of those books i deeply connect with but i couldn’t tell you why. it just spoke to me.
it’s the kind of book that stays in my head and that makes me look at life a bit differently for a while or maybe even forever.
it’s vibes over plot for this one. but beautifully done. can’t wait to read more Deborah Levy. it also teeming with symbolism that went right over my head but even then it remains a book more than worth reading.

its best to read this by the beach in summer, i loved the exploration of the mother-daughter relationship and i wish we got a clear resolution at the end of this novel
