This book feels so much darker yet just as important as all of Cathy's other books. In this book, I get to experience firsthand the downward spiral of a scared young girl into an eating disorder. I think it's important for authors to write about such serious issues in order to educate other young girls about these problems and Summer's journey was rendered with realism and tenderness. I sympathized greatly with her desire to achieve her dreams and I felt unbearably sad when her dream took a darker turn (namely, an eating disorder). These characters could have easily been 15 or 16 somehow because I just feel that way when I read this book. It's so odd to imagine that Summer is only 13 and so worried about her weight but I guess that's the sad point, isn't it? Eating disorders can happen to anyone and at any age.

T/w: Eating disorders

This was by far my favourite book of the series.
It had dark things inside the story, but I felt like it was a true book, anything can happen to anyone.
The realationship between Summer and Alfie was just so adorable and the moments that happen in the stories make you so happy.

We all understand what Summer is going through and i'm glad her story was written this way.

Summer's Dream is written by Cathy Cassidy and is the third book of the series, The Chocolate Box Girls.

Summer Tanberry is all about perfection. Her dream is to get placed in a ballet school and will always strive to become the next best. When summer vacation is here, Summer pushes herself to train and work hard to complete her dream. But when things start spiralling out of control, Summer is lost.

This is sad and has a valuable lesson to it. This book should be rated five out of five because this book is written perfectly and I love the way the author had portrayed the story: Anorexic Disorder. This should be recommended to all teens and could also be read by children. This series is my absolute favourite so far and I love the characters so much. This book is a fun book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This author is one of my favourite authors by far. You could relate a lot to all the characters that she had made up.

I recommend you guys should totally read this book but make sure to first read the first book, Cherry Crush. I hope you guys will enjoy this book like I did.
