MORE? MORE! @ P.S. I love that book!

THE WORLD: The world you and me live in. Story based in USA.

CHARACTERS: Madeline is the main character who has SCID aka she has no immunity to anything and dies upon exposure to everyday life. So all her life she has been locked in her house with her nurse and her mother. Frankly, I really liked Madeline. She loves reading, she writes reviews online hehe and well she is just a very likable character. Then one day comes into picture Olly, basically a neighbours kid that takes interest in Madeline. Of course because she cannot leave the house their contact is mainly via messenger. But it is sweet, I do not have big feelings for Olly but I think he was very neutral character. For sure did not annoy me. And then we have the mother....ah if you read the book you will understand why I hate her. Stupid stupid selfish woman.

LOVE: Romance is very clear in this book. Madeline likes Olly and Olly likes Madeline. Simple.

PLUS: I think it creates a big awareness to SCID which is always a very good thing! Other than that the book was a super fast and super easy read.

MINUS: The ending. I think the consequences for the crime were really really non realistic. I mean seriously in real life it would be a huge scandal, revoked licenses and just in general jail time. How was this different from kidnapping exactly?

OVERALL: It was good but it was not amazing.

MORE? MORE! @ P.S. I love that book!

Four stars because I thought it was pretty decent for a YA book (a genre I'm not particularly fond of) and that was a pleasant surprise. Did I still find it corny and predictable? Yes. Is it the best book ever written? No. Is it worth the hype? Yes and no. Yes for readers/fans of the YA genre, no for everyone else. I wanted to fair with my review and rating. I knew it wasn't my cup of tea before I opened it but it's so popular that my curiosity got the better of me. I didn't find reading it to be a chore, it was pretty compelling and despite the predictability of the plot, the idea was pretty original, and that's good enough for me!

this book made me cry which hasn't happened for a long time. need I say any more

There were so many plot holes in this book, which made it pretty painful listening but I loved the plot twist, which made the rest of it worth getting through.

Very interesting storyline with a major twist to the ending. Great for those who like to read about self discovery and love's evolution.

I don’t even know how to start talking about this one. I LOVED it. It read like a comfort movie. You follow Madeline, a girl who is quite literally allergic to the world. She lives the same life every day until one day, Olly moves in next door with his family. Suddenly, her life is tipped upside down. I love the way it was written; it moved quick and kept you engaged from start to finish. It’s YA, but I don’t really care because it was refreshing to read romance without all the crazy stuff (I like the crazy stuff, just needed a breather from it sometimes 😅). I can’t recommend this one enough. I loved it. Another easy 5 star book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
slow-paced

Another easy reread for a night shift. Cute, simple.

Great book. I would give it 4.5 stars. Great teenage love story (who would have thought I would enjoy that?). Fast paced. Great concept. Very well written.
