Got to know about this book from a list of recommended readings by E Hemingway. It is a short story. Simple and elegantly written, and with a brilliant ending.

The writing touches upon themes of fate, consequences of human action, and justice. The writing style is sparse, and in that is what shines the most.

Didn't like it. I don't know, not a lot happens considering how many pages this short story was. The characters were all angsty white men and not very well-developed, honestly.
