Ich habe gelacht, geweint, mitgefiebert, wurde vom Schachfieber gepackt… die witzigen und intelligenten Wortgefechte setzen dem Ganzen dann noch die Kirsche auf die Sahnehaube. Und: THE YEARNING. aaaaah lieben wir doch. 
Herrlich, wirklich GROSSE Empfehlung!

Llegit en anglès. Simple, curt, per passar una bona estona. M’ha faltat desenvolupament en la majoria d’aspectes del llibre. Les referències que fa l’autora per intentar fer veure que els seus personatges són joves i adolescents són too much i m’han desagradat bastant.
Però bueno, ha sigut curtet i entretingut!






PD: Sincerament, no entenc com el llibre pot estar classificat com a YA.

i love when a narrator narrates perfectly and this was one of those times AUDIOBOOK SLAYED SO HARD !!

i love this story so much, Nolan and Mallory’s story was so good, I loved the way chess is integrated into this as well as both the characters’ family dynamics.

I thought that this was a cute short book. I was however very much annoyed with Mallory and her family. Maybe I’m too much of an Aries with anger issues but

her sisters and mom were so ungrateful. No amount of saying “we didn’t want you to be burdened” would fix the amount of hurt they gave.

Nolan was the best and most understanding guy.

I wish we got to see them play at the end. So much lead up just to not see the final game.

Some parts felt a bit rushed. I also think that the trope rivals to lovers doesn’t apply to Mallory and Nolan.

I need a boy to love me like Nolan loves Mallory!
Do I know a single thing about chess? No, but It made me want to learn to play. This was so cute and it had my cheeks hurting from how hard I was smiling.

A few things about them:
• They are one the most taylor swift coded couple I have ever read about.
