As Letme Live find a good place to grow, Future joins her grandmother rushing to represent as a lawyer three Sudanese immigrants held captive in Laguardia Airport after the travel ban on all people from a long list of countries, to prevent people with alien blood to enter the US. They manage to get them out as protests against the ban take place all over NYC. Stunning images, great story.

Perfect ending for a brilliant story, definitely an eventful pregnancy for the protagonist, and lots of interesting, poignant references to current and past events even within the imagined setting. I love Future's friends and family, and the way she embraces Letmelive's legacy. I loved everything in this series, I kind of wish I had floral friends too, they seem quite cool and more interesting than lots of other aliens I've read of and seen in scifi. Amazing work on the art and colouring aspects too.

I read the whole series again before starting this one, and the story really comes full circle. While I had a lot of issues with Citizen, I totally get it now, where he's coming from, what his issues are/were. This is the most complex character I feel and reading it all at once makes def more sense :)
Maybe the message is a bit obvious, but talking about perspective and understanding others and putting yourself in other people's shoes (people vs. florals) is important.

I can't get enough of this. Literally. It's too short! Aside from this, I loved it, I was so happy and intrigued to finally get to the bottom of part of the story. And the cliffhanger though...
