3.5 stars? Portrayal of the hardships and devastation of the women left behind when men go to war. A story of sisters. Book began slow but picked up steam and I did find myself looking for excuses to keep listening. Thought the ending in particular, especially one of the deaths, to be overly emotionally manipulative. And a couple of nit-picky things. Why would they use her real name as a code name? (Yes, I know she had a fake name she was operating under.) And how did she use that fake name when she was living in an apartment where people knew her by her real name?
To he reunion with Daniel/Ari was beautiful. Looking forward to the movie.

Literally bawled like a baby at the ending..but this book I will 100% recommend to any and all. Haven’t read a book that has hit me in the feels in a long time and this book nailed it. I’m stingy with my 5⭐️ but this one earned it.
