If the MCU had any guts at all, they’d adapt Kraven’s Last Hunt for the third spider man movie... not that I’d enjoy seeing Tom Holland suffer (again), but it would be so epic.

Honestly one of the best, if not the best, of the Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collections so far! Between revealing the Hobgoblin, Hobgoblin and The Rose's origin story, the Spider-Man vs Wolverine comic, MJ and Peter's wedding, and the Kraven's Last Hunt storyline, it's packed full of beautiful storytelling! The Annual issue it opens with is relatively throwaway and the reveal of Hobgoblin's identity is a little iffy, but really those are two relatively minor complaints when everything else is so dang good!!

The core storyline of Kraven's Last Hunt is fantastic. It's creepy and artful and definitely worth checking in. The other 300 pages or so of this collection are just the run-up, and are only tangentially related. There's some decent stuff with a Spider-Man and Wolverine team-up, but the bulk is a convoluted Hobogoblin storyline that goes nowhere, and the incredibly bland wedding of Peter Parker and Mary-Jane. In addition to being boring, it's at total tonal opposition to the Kraven story.

Just get the standard trade, and avoid the hot air in this extended collection.
