I'm a big fan of this magazine, and am always guaranteed to enjoy most of the content. This issue had a couple of stories that appealed to me more than the others. As a big fan of Adam Howe's work, I was very happy to see he had another Reggie Levine story in this issue. I wouldn't class it as horror, really, but it is very entertaining (as is all of Howe's work) and I had a grin the whole time I was reading it. The other story I really enjoyed was a grim offering from Em Dehaney. It features a very sympathetic young boy who must deal with an emotionally abusive and neglectful mother, but he finds something wonderful at the seaside. It is very dark, but very well done.

The non-fiction is good, as well. The last issue featured an article by editor Eddie Generous about what makes for a good start to a story. In this issue, he explores the importance of finishing your writing. His is a work ethic that is both inspiring and daunting at the same time, and I enjoy these insights into how he works. Long may this series continue. Author Danger Slater's failed film pitches are another relatively new addition to the magazine, and they are always very funny. There are two in this issue, and they are terrific.

Throw in some good, thorough reviews of some upcoming horror books, and a couple of brief descriptions about how some authors were introduced to the horror genre, and it makes for an interesting and worthwhile read.
