This was just spectacular - Alexandria House has always been a great writer but I think this might be my favourite book by her yet.

Great love story. I enjoyed that it was all traumatic. Just real life stuff. I do like the history behind the college.

I listened to the audiobook.

Okay, WOW!! This was so good!! Everything about this. I loved the angst and banter between Sharla and Jovani! The dirty talk will have you panting!

Sharla is a professor at a Black University and is a strong female main lead. Sharla is also straight forward with what she wants and what her needs/desires are. She is also on the curvy side and it’s nice to see a man appreciate and awe over her body (and be verbal about it and not just say it in his head).

I also enjoyed that this book touches base on spiritual stuff. For instance the Jericho flower and having dreams that end up coming to life.

We also see Jovani battle with his mental health and his relationship with his family and how toxic some environments were for him to live through as a child.

I am obsessed and need to read more by this author ASAP!!

Wonderful story

This book was amazing. Another hit by Ms.House, she never disappoints. I loved the connection between Sharla and Jovanni. I loved how we got to see some of our favorites. I screamed just like Sharla when big south appeared, lol. This book dealt with toxic family members and absentee parents in such a smart way. There is nothing wrong with cutting out toxic family or giving second chances. Excellent well written book.

I have laughed, I have cried, I have swooned… this was the one for me! Alexandria House knows how to tell a story! I loved every minute of this!

I got about 3 hours into this one and I think its just not the right audio for me right now, I kept losing track of the story thread. Love Alexandria house & I'm obviously still gonna read her, I just needed to pivot
