I enjoy this book, this was a re-read. The madness of Snow is really fascinating and I really like how Collins integrates philosophy into her works.
Minor reference to gay stuff.

Coriolanus Snow walked so Oliver Quick could run. But in all seriousness, Suzanne Collins' ability to write in a binge-worthy way is impressive. Some moments were a bit on the nose, but this fits the theme of the original trilogy so well: bread and circuses.

Dude omg this book was insaneeeee. I didn’t want to put it down, and every day when I woke up I was excited to read and it felt so good to really get out of my reading slump. It felt like back when I was little and woke up every morning excited to read. I love and admire Lucy Gray, who knew when she was in trouble and defended herself by running away and was her own hero. I also admire Tigris, who was so confident that Snow was good and who was so pure. Definitely a comfort character. This book made me forget I was reading.

A worthwhile prequel to the Hunger Games, which lets you see Snow’s start of darkness and just how much of a little shit he already was before developing into something much, much darker. I loved the complexity of his feelings towards Lucy Grey, and all of the plot lines and characters felt fully fleshed out. A beautiful, dark, twisted delight of a book.
