This was written well, and I enjoyed the mystery! I guessed a couple of the twists, but there were several I didn’t see coming!!

This is a very middling, generic sort of thriller.  It's serviceable - it doesn't fail at anything particularly - it's just formulaic and it's easy to foresee the ending.

This was a well-crafted legal/domestic mystery with a big cast of characters and mixed media elements that were really interesting to read. I enjoyed the legal elements and that there were multiple mysteries, although it did sometimes feel like there was probably a bit too much going on. I didn't really care for the smaller reveals throughout the book that were mostly to do with domestic drama; I did like the final reveal, though it wasn't super shocking or memorable, but it was surprising in a way that made sense. I also wish the characters had been more fleshed out so I could have cared more about them, but overall this was an enjoyable read that I would highly recommend to any fans of domestic and/or legal mysteries.

I was pleasantly surprised with this domestic thriller, as it added a little bit of a whodunnit and a courtroom drama into the mix. While the marriage of Zack and Amanda are at the forefront, it was really an examination of many different marriages throughout the story. Each marriage that was highlighted had problems, and this book examined what are different couples' breaking points when it comes to trying to keep their marriage together and act as if everything is fine. I think the characters were all done very well, and as each new suspect came under scrutiny, the readers saw more flaws come to the forefront of each character. While I predicted the whodunnit, that is not a negative in my book. Ultimately, I think a good mystery thriller author should leave enough clues that the reader should be able to figure it out and it shouldn't come out of left field, but the reader should be a little uncertain if their suspect is the one. That is exactly what McCreight did in this novel.

I’d definitely recommend this book to any thriller lover. I hit a point where I simply could not put it down. I enjoyed the way Kimberly set-up the story. Very suspenseful!
