Didn't expect that

I enjoyed this book but not as much as the first and not because it was bad, I just felt the sexual tension between Ashamed and Sax was just a tad much. But the book delivered romance, love, action and everything I love reading.

I can't. This book is SO BORING. like I don't care about the characters, the plot. And also I can't be the only one who was madddd uncomfy. I hate HATE HATE the whole "sexual on accident" when he sees her naked and just oggles her like a piece of meat without her concent. And idk his age it gets dubiously described as "older" but she's seventeeeennnnn. And he just thrusts his erection against her in a public setting. Ew ew ew. And I'm soooooo done with the "alpha males" omfgggg he was SO ANNOYING. and if I hear the word "mate" one more time- YOURE NOT AUSTRALIAN OR A FXKING ANIMAL. STOP ACTING LIKE ONE SJAJSN

I mean, I liked it but I didn't Love it. Lots of back and forth 'is this my fairy tale part?'. It felt repetitive I guess. I liked both of the main characters. I liked how she didn't give up even though she was physically weakened most of the time.

I just felt kind of meh about pretty much everything. I mean, you can see where it's going and every betrayal doesn't really come as a surprise.

OMG please tell me there's going to be another book?

The Glass Princess was beyond addicting to read. Just like the first one, I devoured this within hours. There's just something about retellings that sucks me into the book and I never regret it. In this wicked retelling, you will meet Ashleigh and Saxon. At the beginning, I didn't know what I was going to think about this story but I ended up devouring and loving every second.

It all started when the King was acting like a crazy douche and the sweet Cinderella had to die. Dun dun dun! Enter Ashleigh who is all grown up and basically the snow white of the kingdom because she's kind of kept away from everyone. Until Saxon enters her life and makes her his maid. Oh lord, the things he asked her to do and the sass she gave back - it gave me life. Also, it made me think if I was in this book and I gave the amount of sass and sarcasm that I do on a daily basis... I would technically die in the very beginning of the book. Most likely because I would probably say.. 'Are your arms broken? Your legs? No? Do it your damn self then.'

Other than that, the romance, twists, and the magic just made me enjoy every second. It was very easy to ship these two together and I'm really happy that I got the chance to dive into this book. If there is ever a third book, I will be completely and unapologetically available to read it.

I honestly wasn't a big fan of this book. I didn't feel invested in the story or characters and the plot moved a bit slow. The writing was also an issue for me, it just seemed a bit silly. I felt like I was reading a poorly done version of a Sarah J. Maas book with an emphasis on wings, mates, and awkward sex scenes. I enjoyed the first book, but this one fell below my expectations and I don't think I will be continuing with the series.

Enchanting, action pact and full of fairytale goodness! I could not put it down! Unbelievably well written tale of past lives, betrayal, revenge, friendship, love and finding your own happily ever after ❤ The girl no one wants and the man who has suffered unimaginable betrayal twice over find themselves again in the center of a fairytale where no one knows what role they play, except maybe the oracle. It's exciting and endearing and a it will have a favored place on my bookshelve! I cannot wait to read more from this unique world!
