I. Loved. This. Honestly I read the last half so slowly because I just didnt want this book to end. The money I would pay to get a whole series based on Lia and Xania...

As soon as I read the concept I knew I'd love this story, but I didn't realise just how much. Both Lia and Xania are such amazing, layered characters who are both fighting for what they believe is best. The build up of their dynamic was addictive, and I am obsessed with their banter and chemistry.

Definitely one of my all time favourites, I've already sent several friends messages begging them to read. If you enjoyed priory of the orange tree then I highly recommend it!!

Content warning - Brief mentioning of a character self harming

The way it took me ages to get through the first 50% but then I read the last 50% in a single sitting... I deserve the chair honestly

The gay yearning in this was spot on, I adored Lia as a character and the political intrigue was so great!
