It's been nearly a decade since I visited this story originally. Not much has changed, Alan Moore's story still inspires horror and fear, though I did find new things that I hadn't noticed the first time. Swamp Thing remains a must read for comic enthusiasts.

Swamp Thing by Alan Moore is still one of the best. This volume is somehow a step up but in a different way. The first volume was a look at what Swamp Thing was to himself but here we find out more about his place in the DC universe and adding a character like John Constantine to the mix was a stoke of genius. Packed with some of the best issues of the run so far I’m looking forward to how this epic saga is going to wrap up.

Swamp Thing by Alan Moore is so far one of the best comics I’ve read without a doubt in my mind. If you’ve never read a comic you could pick a worse place to start. Like the great horror movies of years past it takes a creature that would normally strike fear into viewers and reader and makes it compassionate, intelligent and human. Even if this series has a dip in quality in future it will not detract from the brilliance of these early issues. READ IT!!!!
