My sleep definitely suffered from this book! I found myself just saying 'oh one more chapter...', which to me is always a sign of a good book. It's super easy to read and a fun story, although there are some sad elements which I am not ashamed to admit caused a tear or two. Definitely one to read if you are after a bit of good ol' chick lit.
What a lovely easy read this was, not overly brilliant but lovely all the same.
I did get a bit annoyed at the grammatical mistakes, but once over looked it was an easy chick lit read, which I expected and was after!
Anyone after chick lit will certainly get that with a hint of shock sadness towards one of the characters.

I liked this book because it kind of give you another point of view. Don't get me wrong but I hated Billy half of the book...
I was very excited to get this book as a Goodreads Giveaway, although I was slightly disappointed that there were no whales at all (confused? look at the cover. I was sure there would be at least one whale). Although I've been slightly jaded by the 'plain girl meets moviestar' plot this one seemed fresh; maybe due to the initial tea-shop setting, possibly due to the main character being my literary doppelganger.
Feel a bit naughty that it has taken me this long to get round to reading this. Now that I have I cannot wait until book 2 comes out. I love how effortless it is to read!! So proud of my cousin! :-)
Maybe I've been a little harsh on this book, it was enjoyable but I'm not particularly fond of her writing style and I've started to become interested in more gritty books instead of the lovey, living happily ever after books...
At some points I was irritated by the character Sophie, I didn't agree with her and found her childish and sometimes she did things that were very out of character from the person she'd been portrayed as.
It was a lovely book but not my cup of tea!

Where to start! I really don't want to be here writing a novel of a review so I'm going to TRY and keep it short and sweet.
Being a huge fan of Gi Fletcher, I knew I'd love this book before I even bought it, but boy I did not expect to love it like I do! Without a doubt, one of my favourite books of all time. Like Gi said herself, she wrote this story with the hopes of presenting to the world the reality of dating a celebrity and whilst reading I just felt how real it was! She didn't paint it to be some pretty picture, she told it how it was and so I praise her for capturing the truth.
Sophie May, the protagonist in the novel is so relatable to me in so many ways. She loves books, tea, a quiet lifestyle and her family so when reading 'Billy & Me', I couldn't help but feel like I was reading a novel about future me. So that was really nice.
As I've said in previous reviews, I am not someone to cry or laugh at books however I can still find them hilarious or emotional. This book is now the third book for me to have ever cried at, but even though it is third, I definitely cried the most at 'Billy & Me'. I blubbered basically. On multiple occasions. And at some point in the story I just couldn't stop laughing literally! So well done Gi for allowing me to actually LOL and release them emotions!
Sophie and Billy as a couple I think are perfect! I was so happy with each character individually so together they were just wonderful. I became so worried and upset towards the end of the novel, worrying they were over forever, I felt like I was the one going though a breakup! If I hadn't known that there was a second novel waiting for me on my bookshelf, I would have been concerned for their future together ;) !
But I would just like to say I am incredibly proud of Gi for writing this corker of a book, I loved every moment and cannot wait to delve more into the lives of Sophie, Billy and their loved ones in 'Always With Love'.

Oh dear...sorry....but oh dear....it's time to admit that I don't hate "chick lit"...okay maybe I hate that term...but I actually do enjoy a light hearted romantic romp around now and again...
However, this wasn't the book for me...
I suppose some people might have issues with how fast the romance progressed...ummm...not me...I met my husband and fell in love in four short days once on holiday...today, even on a bad day, I still love him more than I could ever express...more than I ever thought I could...
However, I just don't think these two people belonged together. I just don't think Sophie was ready for a relationship. At the end of the novel I still don't think she was.
I kept trying to put myself in her shoes...and honestly, I can't understand why she refused to trust Billy throughout the novel. He gave her no reason to distrust him...except for being the exact person he actually is...a famous, attractive movie star. He didn't really even have much of a past of being a bad boy...sure he dated before Sophie, but he wasn't portrayed as a dishonest person in those relationships...
Sophie's only reason for distrust was her doubt of her own self worth...and that certainly wasn't Billy's fault as he spent the entire novel telling her how important she was to him.
I didn't sense a lot of depth in Sophie or Billy either one. To be honest, they were both pretty boring to read about. The saving grace of this novel are two of the secondary characters. Sophie's mum...who I actually disliked for the first half of the book, but came to appreciate...and of course, Molly....Molly was the best part of the book! However, once again, I felt like as great as these two secondary characters were, that there will still much more that could have been added to even them...
This was a fast and easy read...and don't misunderstand, I did enjoy it. However, this is one HEA ending that I think would have been better to never have happened....sorry but true...

Last Thursday I finished this book. And while it had it's moments that I liked and was not generally bad, the many things it lacked could not really be made up for. For example, I personally believe that every book lives from its characters first and foremost and I'd rather read a dull plot with characters I like than a great plot with dull or annoying characters.
I really disliked both of the main characters. Billy and Sophie were either boring or didn't feel real, didn't act like human beings for me. The characters I liked the most were Sophie's mom and Molly, but we got to see too little of both of them.
The plot, overall was alright, but a bit too predictable. In general, it's not the best book I read this year and I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
