Heart wrenching, but every word was amazing. Would highly recommend.

A touching story of great commitment, love, loss and hope. I'm looking forward to reading "Dancing with Butterflies."

Currently sobbing in my room, with Titanic playing on the tv and a liter of ice cream in my lap.

This is a heartbreaking story. I found myself truly invested in what happens to both Juana and Adelaide and the emotional hardships along the way. Overall I enjoyed the pacing of this story - I wish a few stories were more built out (I.e Sebastian) but would highly recommend.

An absolutely wonderful book. It pulled me along so quickly - I read it in two days. It's too bad that this didn't get the attention and marketing that was heaped on American Dirt. I liked this book so much more. It's better written with a much more authentic story and feel.

This is a book that will forever stay in my mind. I felt my heart being ripped and stepped on so many times. To all my migrants crossing, I pray for your safety. I’m so so glad our book club picked this for May’s reading.
