Somehow I missed the first edition of this collection of tales. I'm not sure what I expected, but I didn't find these stories overly entertaining or humorous and normally I can appreciate a cynical sense of humor. I appreciate that the narrator was changed for every story. Overall, I found the stories uneventful and uninspiring... probably like the ones I write. 2/5.

Fun stories for the cynical among us. This is DARK humor. I enjoyed the hell out of this. The narrators made the stories. Whether they be about a witch getting her comeuppance or a dog’s revenge or hearing Nick Offerman wax on about vomit, everything had a humorous side. Listening at about 1.5 speed made everything flow nicely.

Honestly, Offerman’s interludes are the best part. The dog story was cute…kinda. Maybe not cute. Or cute, but not adorable.
