I support women’s rights but also I support women’s wrongs

The illustrations in this version are very beautiful. The physical product of this book oozes charm with the unique page folds and embossing on the cover.
As for the play itself, I get why some people like it. It's tragedy to a T. I like the play's discussion of gender and sexuality, and Salome knows how to command a room. There's a fair amount of discomfort within the play too, considering Herod's ogling of his daughter (/niece) and Salome's role in getting Iokanaan (John the Baptist) killed.
The writing is interesting and I appreciated the introduction, but good God does this remind me that Wilde was an antisemite.
