An enjoyable, quick read that was smartly structured and felt realistic. I enjoyed the first half much more than the second, however, and by the end I felt a little like I was reading JUST to finish it and not really for my enjoyment. Christopher is a tricky protagonist who switched from endearing to grating on my nerves multiple times, but it's worth sticking with him. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something quick and interesting but don't mind a bit of drama.
I loved this book! It's written from the perspective of a severely autistic 15 year old boy, and demonstrates his personal growth and emotional journey through some family drama.
I really sympathized with the character. There were so many big things going on, and he was just trying to make sure his things were ok. Sometimes everything else is just too complicated to look at closely. Im glad everything worked out in the end. There are so many ways the world is hard, and it was good that things worked out in his corner of the world. Not in a way that felt impossible, but the best kind of possible.
