This is the 6th book in the Calamity series and follows Iris and Wilder.

I fully thought this would be my least favourite book of the series however I was very pleasantly surprised! Wilder felt like such an older character in the previous book but I loved learning more about his personality and how Iris helped him come out of his shell.

I loved the character development from Iris going from a slightly flighty and moving every 2 months to wanting to settle down and make a home with Wilder. She is so kind and is such an empath- she feels so much but doesn't hesitate to stand up for herself.

I love Wilders story line- he held the guilt of his past so close but with the help of Wilder he helped him moved through it. He helps Iris when her brother shows up and protects her. He is very swoon worthy made me melt with every "baby".

Lawsuit for a grade

Low drama but filled with hilarious banter and delicious tension.

Wilder is healing from his wife’s death and Iris is coping with a decade of feeling unaccepted by her family. Iris arrives in Calamity to stay for 2 months in Wilder’s home after her older brother called in a favor with Wilder.

The two couldn’t be more different. Iris is vibrant, dresses in bold colors, makes money off of being an influencer and has moved every 2 months for the last few years of her life. Wilder is a high school science teacher.

The ultimate grumpy x sunshine and temporary roommates made this a fun read.

I loved grumpy Wilder & sunshine girl Iris! Forced proximity, brother’s best friend, age gap. I love the spotlight placed on showing that the traditional post graduation track isn’t for everyone and that’s okay!
