Another interesting adventure into the magically bureaucratic world of Jennifer Strange. Delightful, but once again rather abrupt in its ending, as once again the whole tale takes place over a handful of days. I wish that these books were 200 pages longer so we could explore more of these characters and this world.

I thought that a series called "The Last Dragonslayer" would have a lot more dragons in it but, granted, since it is about the slayer and not about the dragon, I suppose I can't be too disappointed. This second book in the series is quite a fun read; I really like learning more about the other wizards and the history of the Ununited Kingdom and getting to see the wizards working together was really fun!

I want a Transient Moose. I also can't wait until my daughter reads these books so she can know the awesomeness that is Jasper Fforde. Is this book a literary behemoth? Not hardly. But I never have more fun than when reading Ffrode's work.
