Audiobook- another sweet story and great narration. Love this series and getting away to the small welsh villages with Evans the law. Recommend!

Officially a 3.5 rating. Storyline was just okay for me. I also struggle sometimes with the archetype that higher up officers would automatically assume guilt based on flimsy evidence or assume the case is closed without having all ends tied up. But I really like Evan and I love the village the story is set in.

A fun book, but the title is a play on heaven and hell because of the fires. There is no lady called Elle. I liked the mystery a lot. A typical Constable Evans book.

I read another in this series some time ago. This one is about an arsonist that quickly turns into a proper murder mystery when a body turns up in the ashes of a new French restaurant. The logical person to suspect is the owner & proprietess of the restaurant, but Constable Evans doesn't want to believe it. Fun, easy--not too challenging all.
