This series is like a soap opera in book form. It is actually ridiculous the amount of drama that is going on in these 16 year old people's lives. This book was a super quick read with so much more clarity in terms of the situations that surround the main drama of the book, without revealing much at all about what the hell is actually going on. Just a fun teen read and a exultation of the incredibly mild adolescence that I experienced.

Flawless is a nice continuation of the Pretty Little Liars story. Sara Shepard does a great job of utilizing the high school dynamic for all the great drama and emotion without going over the top and making the characters into gross stereotypes. With the underlying mystery of Alison's murder, it definitely feels like Desperate Housewives: the High School years, and that is meant as a compliment. The characters do grow in this second book in the series, though like everyone they have their backslides as well. Sometimes we hate the decisions they make, but that is reality especially in such a transitional time of life. 3.5 stars rounded up.

This book was really good and I definitely want to read this again. A lot was uncovered but then more mysteries were uncovered and not yet solved. This book also talks about everyday life for the teenagers and not just the puzzles surrounding them.
