Hit me in the feels - over and over!! Nikki Ash knows right where to land the punches with those powerful moments and I love crying through each and every one of them.

Alec and Lexi have grown up together, are best friends turned roommates, and while neither have ever mentioned the growing feelings between the two of them, they both recognize that jeopardizing what they have for romance isn't worth it, until the right moment it is. Taking that plunge is everything, but risking it all is what life's all about.

Alec realizes that if you can't life each day to its full potential then why live it without the one you love? When Lexi has to answer back with the ultimate hardship, and can they really survive it together?

Nikki's stories always bring me to tears and this beautiful story is no different. Not only do Alec and Lexi have their own challenges to face, but I love the beautiful messages brought out through the other people they encounter. Aiden hit me right in the solar plexus and I hope he touches you too and I'm dying to find out more about Georgia and Chase.

While this is interconnected with other characters, it can be read as a complete standalone as well and I hope the love that Alec and Lexi have for each other touch you as deeply as it did me. You really can't go wrong picking up a Nikki Ash book, especially when it's filled with so much right.

Secretly both in love with each other, but scared of the fallout, these two have been dancing around their feelings for years.
Best friends, and family - are they a perfect match? Or a disaster in the making?
Grief, tragedy, love, loyalty, and wonderful surprises await you in this delectably good read.
Alec & Lexi were perfection.

My Kind of Beautiful was definitely a beautiful friends to lovers story!

Lexi and Alec have been the best of friends for forever. These roommates have also been secretly lusting after each for about just as long. When tragedy strikes Alec takes a deeper look at his life and realizes he can't waste another moment and aims to sweep Lexi off her feet. Lexi is a bit lost throughout the book trying to find her place in the world and how what path she wants to take. When she finally goes for one events happen to completely derail everything. That part of the story is heartbreaking but the love this large unconventional family has for each other leaves you feeling happy again.

Great addition to this series and I am looking forward to the next book!

My Kind of Beautiful is the second book in Nikki Ash‘s Finding Love series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read all the books and generations before. Lexi and Alec‘s story is beautiful, emotional and passionate.

Lexi and Alec have been friends since they were children and both of them had massive crushes on the other.
Their story was perfect but at some times it felt as if it was going on high speed. I enjoyed it nonetheless but I‘d find myself wishing a small bit of angst.

I really enjoyed their story! It was unique and perfect for Lexi and Alec. They both had some issues throughout the book but it made them only stronger.

"In that moment, I stopped seeing the messy, clumsy little girl with paint permanently in her hair and saw your beautiful soul. You’re like this ray of sunshine in a dark, cloudy world."

This series has been an emotional ride so far!

I got so annoyed by Lexi in the first book that I almost didn't pick this one up! She comes off really strong and overbearing with a LARGE personality in the first book! But I decided to give it a go! And I'm so glad I did! Being inside Lexi's head, you got to see her for so much more than the overbearing party girl. And then reading Alec's POV and how much he adored her!

Alec and Lexi have been friends their whole lives. Polar opposites to each other, but exactly what they each needed growing up! Alec is steady, with a stable career, and knows exactly what he wants! Lexi is wild and carefree, with no idea what she wants to do after college.

Alec has been in love with Lexi since he was 19! Not wanting to take any chances and ruin their friendship, he's buried his feelings for her. Until one day, when his world gets turned upside down and he realizes that if he doesn't take a chance and tell Lexi how he feels about her he'll regret it!

Possible spoilers:

I loved Alec's determination to make Lexi his after she kept turning him down!

“I get that it’s going to take you a bit longer to get on board with the idea of us, and I’m okay with that because I know in the end we’ll be together, but I need you to promise me something.”

Aiden might have been one of my favorite parts of this book, and it really helped me realize just how big Lexi's heart was! The way she cares for him!!
