Heartbreaking and eye-opening. Hardly any words after finishing this.

“Look at me Mariam.” Reluctantly, Mariam did. Nana said, “Learn this now and learn it well, my daughter. Like a compass needle that points north, a man’s accusing finger always finds a woman. Always. You remember that, Mariam.”

I have been wanting to read this book since it came out, but for some reason I kept putting it off. After reading I deeply regret waiting for so long!
Such an incredibly sad, yet beautiful story. I stayed up wayyyy past my bedtime just so I could finish it. I highly recommend.
