Not For Me

I was super excited when I found this book on Kindle Unlimited; however, it didn’t live up to my expectations. I was hoping for a cute fall romance but ended up reading a main character that was far from likeable. I feel like Amy was determined to never take responsibility for her actions especially when it came to decisions that she made. I don’t like that the resolution to the plot was one that was ultimately solved by her grandfather when she’s the one that needed to come to a moment of realization. There was a lot of woe is me and “I did wrong BUT...” and I just couldn’t get past the fact that everything was so easy for her. The writing wasn’t bad, I just don’t think that the story was written for me. I’ll be doing a full review on my blog.

A really cute romantic comedy that’s light hearted and a quick read, especially if you need a pick me up or have a book hangover. The sneak peek of the second book is also super cute!

Cute but predictable

This book reads like a warm hug on a chilly day; a charming small town and a girl on a mission to help her grandpa and perhaps get a second chance at love. How wonderful it was to read a funny, clean book.

Amy learns that her grandpa is in hospital after driving his car through Dunkin' Donuts. Yes, you read that correctly. No, not a drive-thru. He drove through it by accident. She hasn't been back in her hometown in 10 years, but she knows in her heart that she has to return, face her demons, and help her grandpa. Who knows - it might just be what saves them both!

Beth Labonte will have you laughing and feeling the warm fuzzies in no time! Go ahead, grab a pumpkin spice latte and get yourself a copy of this book.

Cute, fun, quick read perfect for the fall season.

Fun, sweet read about Amy, who goes back to get home town to look after her grandfather and find her 1st love still lives there.
This is a sweet, second chance romance story that happens in a small town that loves Autumn, pumpkins and making scarecrows about it off the fallen leaves

3.5 stars!
I'm usually pretty harsh on cute romance books and tend not to finish them, but I liked this one! It's exactly what you'd expected from a story where an author returns to her autumn-obsessed hometown and sees her high school love for the first time in years, but I liked the writing style and the audiobook for this was a delight to listen to.

This was a cute short read! Any story involving a grandpa or grandma hold a special place in my heart ❤️
